1. Pre-Installation Assessment

Our Starlink SMEs reviewed the service request for Starlink and WiFi installation in Prescott, AZ. They performed initial offsite assessment through analysis of the satellite imagery and customer-provided photos. They examined key factors such as potential obstructions, existing cable pathways, roof accessibility, installation points and customer requirements to determine the necessary equipment, tools, materials, and manpower for a smooth and efficient installation. After receiving the customer’s job order approval, we scheduled the installation with our professional Starlink installers in Prescott, AZ.

2. Onsite Starlink Installation in Prescott, AZ

Our Starlink installation team arrived onsite as scheduled and began the installation process with the Starlink obstructions test. This initial step was essential to identify any potential interference such as trees, buildings, or roof structures that could disrupt the satellite signal. Based on the result, they confirmed the optimal location for mounting the dish.

The Starlink dish is mounted using a standard wall mount secured to the fascia board with heavy-duty lag bolts. Positioned just above the roofline, the dish is angled outward to maintain a clear line of sight for optimal satellite connectivity.

The Starlink cable is neatly routed along the underside of the fascia board, with the excess length coiled and secured under the eaves near the dish mount for proper organization. It continues along the exterior wall, fastened with cable clips, and passes through a wall entry point to connect to the indoor Gen3 WiFi mesh router.

The Starlink cable was connected to the router, which was then powered on and activated. Then, they configure the network settings, setting the SSID and password to finalize the installation.

3. Optimization and Performance Testing

After the successful installation of the Starlink equipment, the team performed a Starlink alignment test. This test is essential to confirm that the dish has unobstructed view with the Starlink satellite network which significantly impacts the signal strength and reliability.

Then followed by Starlink speed test to evaluate the system’s internet performance, measuring key metrics such as download and upload speeds, latency, and overall connection stability to ensure optimal functionality.

The Starlink speed test demonstrated excellent performance, recording a high download speed of 418 Mbps, an upload speed of 30 Mbps and a latency of 28 ms. These results reflect a robust and reliable internet connection, well-suited for bandwidth-intensive activities such as 4K streaming, cloud-based applications, video conferencing and large file transfers. The low latency enables seamless real-time communication, making it highly effective for online gaming and virtual meetings.

This project highlights our commitment in delivering best-in-class Starlink installation that meet the connectivity needs of the home office setup.
